Veterinary Assistant

Claire

We welcomed Claire to our team in February, 2022. Claire started volunteering in 2015. She has worked as an animal care attendant and a kennel assistant. In 2021, Claire moved to Kansas City and worked as a veterinary assistant before coming to Eagle Animal Hospital. Some of her responsibilities at Eagle include restraining animals for exams and other procedures, administering medications, caring for hospitalized pets, gathering and preparing samples for laboratory tests.

Claire is very empathetic when it comes to animals and always gives the best care possible. “My favorite part of being a veterinary assistant is being involved in the process of healing and animal and actively seeing the results of them recovering.” She plans to continue her education at the veterinary technician program at Maple Woods.

“I love working at Eagle because the veterinarians and supporting staff truly give each pet the same quality and gentle care, they would give their own pets. I also like the variety of patients and clientele that see. It makes every day so different and exciting.”

Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending her free time painting and drawing, watching movies, cooking, going on hikes, and being with loved ones. Claire has a Silky Terrier named Hazel, 2 African dwarf frogs named Leonard & Pebble, a Betta fish named Ned, and a snail named Clementine.
