Veterinary Assistant
Cara
Cara joined Eagle in 2022 as a kennel assistant while attending high school, but you may recognize her from her father…Dr. Sparks! After graduating from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's in animal science, she returned to Eagle as a Veterinary Assistant. She is currently working on her master's at MU in Public Health. With four years of experience in veterinary medicine, she is passionate about helping pets feel better and supporting their families through every stage of care.
Cara especially enjoys assisting with blood draws, IV catheter placement, surgical preparation, and patient recovery after procedures. She finds the greatest reward in watching animals heal and seeing them return home feeling better than when they arrived.
At Eagle, she built a strong foundation in patient care and developed a love for veterinary medicine. She enjoys being part of the Eagle team because of the caring people she works with and the supportive environment they create for both patients and one another.
At home, Cara shares her life with her beloved dog, a three-year-old German Shepherd named Onyx. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active by running, hiking, and playing sports. She also loves cooking, reading, and traveling whenever she has the chance.
Cara is proud to be part of a team that treats every patient like family and looks forward to helping pets receive the compassionate care they deserve.
