Dajana Young joined Eagle Animal Hospital in April 2025 as a veterinary technician. She brings seven years of experience in the veterinary field, having worked as both a veterinary assistant and technician, as well as an equine assistant. Her daily responsibilities include assisting doctors in surgery, monitoring anesthesia, performing dental cleanings, running laboratory diagnostics, and performing radiology.

Dajana’s favorite part of her job is being an advocate for animals, whether through patient care, surgery, or client education. She especially values the opportunity to guide pet owners through their pet’s health needs while ensuring every patient feels safe and cared for.

She studied Animal Science with a pre-veterinary focus at the University of Missouri. In addition to her clinical skills, Dajana brings unique experience working in both large animal and exotic medicine. She also contributes to Eagle Animal Hospital as one of the social media managers, helping connect the community with the hospital’s work and team.

At home, Dajana’s life is full of animals. She has two dachshunds, Millow and Spoon, two cats, Church and Gilbert, and several horses. She is also a proud member of the Dachshunds of Kansas City Club.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dajana enjoys trail riding her horses, gardening, baking, and hiking with her dogs. She loves being part of a team that values advancements in veterinary medicine and the impact it makes on patients and their families.
