Dr. Caroline Quotizzato Esteves, known to clients and staff as “Dr. Q,” joined Eagle Animal Hospital on July 28, 2025. She has a strong professional interest in surgery and finds great fulfillment in helping pets heal and return to good health.

For Dr. Q, the most satisfying part of being a veterinarian is witnessing the relief and gratitude of owners when their pets are feeling better. Being able to ease both an animal’s suffering and an owner’s worry is a responsibility she cherishes, and it reminds her daily of the powerful bond between people and their pets.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Florida State University in 2017 and went on to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with honors in 2021.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and raised in Miami, Florida, Dr. Q’s passion for animal care was sparked at a young age. During family trips to Rio, her godmother encouraged her to help care for pets and the many street dogs they encountered. Witnessing her godmother’s compassion inspired Dr. Q to become an advocate for animals and ultimately pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

Before becoming a veterinarian, she volunteered at adoption clinics and shelters and worked in several small animal practices in Miami, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Dr. Q shares her life with two beloved pets: Moose, a retriever mix she adopted while attending veterinary school in St. Kitts, and Mia, a black and white domestic shorthair cat she brought home from her first job at an animal clinic in Miami.

Outside of work, Dr. Q loves to travel, especially to Italy and Brazil. She has recently discovered a new hobby in skiing and hopes to spend more time on the slopes in the years to come.
