Dr Torey Fikes
Dr. Torey Fikes joined Eagle Animal Hospital in June 2025 and brings a strong commitment to urgent care, preventative medicine, surgery, and community outreach. Originally from Midland, Texas, she developed a love for animals at a young age and never wavered in her goal of becoming a veterinarian.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University – College Station, before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025.
Before joining the veterinary profession, Dr. Fikes gained hands-on experience as a veterinary assistant and student surgical technician. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, and the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association.
For Dr. Fikes, the most rewarding part of veterinary medicine is witnessing the resilience of animals and helping them return to health. She finds deep fulfillment in building trust with pet owners and supporting them through moments of worry and hope.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Fikes enjoys reading, thrifting, exploring local coffee shops, trying new foods, and spending time with her partner, Chais, a medical student. You can often find them out with friends at trivia nights or dart bars. They share their home with Tess, a Harlequin Great Dane, and Ernie, a fluffy domestic longhair cat.
