Kylie Acebedo

Dr. Kylie Acebedo joined Eagle Animal Hospital in July 2026 and is passionate about helping pets live healthier, happier lives while building lasting relationships with their families.  Dr. Acebedo earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Kansas State University in 2021 before returning to Kansas State University for veterinary school, graduating in 2026. During veterinary school, she received recognition for excellence and her interest in small animal internal medicine. She is also a member of the American Association of Veterinary Medical Association.

Her love for veterinary medicine began at home. Growing up in Wichita, Kansas, Dr. Acebedo was inspired by her stepdad, whom she watched build his career in a veterinary hospital. Their house was always full of animals, and many of them were rescued through his hospital. Those experiences shaped her desire to become a veterinarian and make a difference in the lives of pets and their families. Dr. Acebedo has special interest in rehabilitation medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, nutrition, and weight management. 

Before becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Acebedo gained experience working with animals through Great Plains Nature Center, as well as various animal hospitals and shelters in the Wichita and Manhattan areas.

What she finds most rewarding about veterinary medicine is getting to know her clients and their pets over the years and becoming a trusted part of their pets’ lives—from puppyhood and kittenhood through their senior years. She loves watching those relationships grow and knowing that she can help pets enjoy more healthy years with the people who love them.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Acebedo enjoys all things sports, especially volleyball and football, and proudly considers herself a Kansas City Chiefs fan. She loves hiking with her five-year-old Great Pyrenees, Pippa, traveling, and discovering new coffee shops. Her animal family also includes Hifradone (Hifrad), a black Domestic Shorthair cat; Feta, a Maine Coon; and Moe, a Siamese cat.

Dr. Acebedo also enjoys volunteering as an Alliance Therapy Dog handler with Pippa. She is excited to bring her passion for medicine, animals, and the human-animal bond to the Eagle Animal Hospital team.
