Our Continued Growth To Meet Our Client’s Needs
We recently added 10,000 square-feet to our Northland veterinary facility — doubling our former size — to house luxury and studio pet boarding suites, expanded exercise areas, and a separate quiet cat room. We’ve also renovated our treatment and exam rooms, our surgery suite, and our lobby. We’ve added a cat waiting area, coffee and water bar, and new surgery, radiology, ICU, and recovery suites, as well as a dental nook, six exam rooms, and a fully updated in-house laboratory and pet pharmacy. Our continued growth to meet the needs of our clients and their cherished companions demonstrates our commitment to being a partner in your pet’s healthcare in the best ways possible. Our History: Over 60 Years of Unparalleled Pet Service
Eagle Animal Hospital & Pet Resort, originating from the old James Farm dairy barn (circa 1889), is the oldest business and one of the first animal hospitals north of the Missouri River. Dr. Tom Eagle first opened the hospital’s doors in 1946, making Eagle Animal Hospital a landmark in Riverside, Parkville, Platte County and throughout the Greater Kansas City area. Our veterinary facility has advanced and expanded greatly during the past six-plus decades, but we’ve always maintained that small-town veterinary practice feeling.
Ownership of Eagle Animal Hospital was transferred to Dr. Tom Noyes in 1968 and underwent its first expansion to meet the needs of Northland’s ever-increasing population in 1992. Dr. Jim Sparks, who joined the Eagle Animal Hospital staff as a kennel attendant at the young age of 15 in 1979, became a business partner and subsequent owner in 1996. Dr. Matt Silvius, also a former kennel attendant, worked his way to becoming a veterinarian in 2007 and a business partner by 2013.
Eagle Animal Hospital and Pet Resort now staffs ten highly skilled veterinarians who, along with their compassionate support staff, are dedicated to staying actively educated. By doing this, our animal care staff is continuously expanding its knowledge and keeping Eagle Animal Hospital at the forefront of veterinary medicine and technology.
