Nicki

PRACTICE MANAGER

Nicki first joined Eagle Animal Hospital & Pet Resort when she was 17 years old, as a kennel attendant in 1974. The next year, she took on the role of receptionist and was an integral member of the veterinary hospital staff for the next decade.

Nicki returned to Eagle Animal Hospital as practice manager in August of 2002.

Nicki oversees the operations of the hospital and keeps the animal care team working together at all times. She handles accounts payable and receivable, payroll, administrative support, customer service, and human resources. She holds an Associate's degree in business from Maple Woods Community College.

Nicki most enjoys the relationships she has developed with clients and staff and the wonderful pets and people she has met. "We have caring and compassionate people in the veterinary profession," she says.

At home, Nicki enjoys watching movies, reading, and spending quality time with her family.

Carley

Carley

HOSPITAL MANAGER

You many recognize Carley from our Riverside location.  We welcomed Carley to the Eagle team in 2013 as a receptionist. After a short leave she returned to Eagle in July 2020. Carley joined Eagle’s management team as an Assistant Hospital Manager in 2022. Carley is the go-to person if you need help! She manages the HR department, but you will also find her up front greeting clients and helping the receptionist. 

Carley brings an outgoing and positive energy to Eagle at Tiffany! She enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Carley shares with us, “The best part of my job is meeting new clients and their pets. I enjoy when I can connect with our clients. Pets are like part of the family. When they come in, I want them to know we will treat them that way as well. Our goal is to make you and your pet’s experience at Eagle a positive one!”

When asked what makes Eagle stand out from other hospitals she has worked at, she shares, “I love the family atmosphere here and how much everyone truly cares about the pets and each other. You can really tell we enjoy what we do!”

In Carley’s free time, she enjoys spending it watching her two kid’s sports. They are very involved in softball, baseball, basketball, soccer, and football. This leaves little free time just to herself but when she has the time, she enjoys being outside gardening or reading. Carley has a Pit Bull name Princess Baby Rainbow Sparkles.

Registered Veterinary Technicians

Shannon

Registered Veterinary Technician; Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner

Shannon first joined our team in 2005, as a kennel assistant, while attending high school She continued working at Eagle as an assistant while attended the Veterinary Technology program at Maple Woods. Shannon graduated from the program in 2010. She has been a team member for over 10 years, leaving for a few years to explore the field in 2015 and returned to Eagle, July 2020.

Shannon is a registered technician, licensed in Missouri, and is a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner. This certification requires 90 hours of pain specific CE, providing skills related to pain management (nerve blocks, manual therapies, rehab techniques, anatomy knowledge). To obtain this certification her studies had to be signed off by another CVPP, she needed 3 letters and recommendation from CVPPs and/or diplomate of an AVMA specialty, and had to pass a very extensive testing process.

Some of Shannon’s day to day responsibilities include assisting the veterinarians, performing diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry. We are looking forward to utilizing her skills and knowledge as a CVPP in the practice as well!! She has been certified Fear Free in the past and applies those techniques to the care of our patients.  When asked what makes Eagle unique from other hospitals, she shares, “I love that we get to continue learning new techniques/procedures to create the best possible experience and medical care for our patients while giving us the opportunity to grow.”

Danielle

REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

Danielle joined our team in June 2022. She has been in the veterinary field since 2011 starting in the pet care industry while attending school. Danielle graduated from the Maple Woods Veterinary Technician Program in 2013 with an associate degree in applied science and is licensed in the state of Missouri. Some of Danielle’s responsibilities include assisting the doctors and other team members, running diagnostic tests, filling prescriptions, and monitoring patients. Danielle has worked with exotics in some capacity for over 20 years. Her knowledge in this area and comfort in handling exotic patients make her an asset at Eagle!

“It’s hard to pick one area or one reason why I love my job. It’s more of the feeling you get when you have successfully assisted/helped a pet back to health!” Danielle also shares, “I truly enjoy working for a clinic that not only advocates for the care of their patients, but also their staff.”

In Danielle’s free time, she enjoys going to drag races, car shows, and visiting family with her husband and son. She also enjoys riding dirt bikes with her son and spending time outside, working on cars, and obedience training with her dog. Her family has two dogs, a cat, two hogs, three goats, lots of chickens, and a guinea fowl.

Hannah

REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

Meet Hannah! Hannah graduated from Maple Woods Veterinary program in 2020. She joined our team in December 2022 with 3 years of veterinary related experience. As a registered veterinary technician at Eagle, some of Hannah’s responsibilities include collecting lab samples, monitoring anesthesia, restraint, and being an advocate for patients.

Hannah brings a positive attitude and the latest veterinary nursing knowledge and skills. She shares her favorite part of being a technician is phlebotomy and pluck ear hair.

“Eagle stands out from other places I have worked. I am utilized for all my skills I have learned which helps me grow as a technician.”

In Hannah’s free time she enjoys hiking, weight lifting, visiting her hometown, reading, and watching sports. She has a Golden Retriever named Daisy Mae and a black Lab named Duke.

Veterinary Assistants

Ali

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Ali joined the Eagle team November 2019 as a receptionist. She is one of the first faces you will see when you come to Eagle Animal Hospital. She answers phones, schedules appointments, and checks in and out clients. Ali brings an eagerness to learn and grow in the animal care field. She has an AA in General Studies and AA in Paralegal practice from Metropolitan Community College. Ali recently left the legal field to pursue a career working in the animal industry.

“The best part of my job is meeting Eagle clients and their pets and getting to witness veterinary medicine in action.”

Ali shares with us, “I love how welcoming the staff is and how encouraging the doctors are of growing in the animal field. It’s easy to see Eagle Animal Hospital takes exceptionally good care of ALL it’s clients and their pets!”

In Ali’s free time she enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, and study geology. She also enjoys spending time with fiancé taking care of our animals and fixing up her first home. She loves school and intends to enroll in the veterinary technology program at Maple Woods soon. Ali has a German Shepherd named Brutus. She also has 4 cats, Ludwig and Moz the brothers, Isis the Russian Blue, and Pollen the orange kitten.

LEtty

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

We welcomed Letty to the Eagle team in August 2022. She came with over three years of veterinary related experience as a kennel technician and veterinary assistant. As an assistant at Eagle, Letty is responsible for collecting lab samples, running bloodwork, patient care, and assisting the doctors and technicians. Letty is currently enrolled in the Maple Woods Veterinary Technician program. Working at Eagle gives her a chance to use the skills she has learned so far. Letty is open-minded and can adapt to any situation. Some of her favorite tasks include running bloodwork and learning what the results mean.

When asked what she likes about working here, Letty shared, “I love working at Eagle because every works well as a team.”

In Letty’s free time she enjoys doing dog agility with her dog, baking, going on walks with her dog, and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Letty has a Papillon named Pepe, a Papillon named Blitz, and a German Shepherd named Spartan.

Taylor

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

We welcomed Taylor to the Eagle team November 2022. Taylor came to us with 6 years of experience in the animal industry. At Eagle, she is responsible for taking x-rays, performing cold laser therapy, setting up the surgery room, assisting the doctors and technicians, running bloodwork, and performing lab maintenance. Taylor shares, “Some of my favorite parts of my job is placing catheters, drawing blood, and prepping patients for surgery.”

Taylor brings confidence and the desire to do her best. She is also great at comforting patients while holding them for the doctor or techs. “Eagle at Tiffany stands out amongst any other place I have worked. I enjoy working with and learning from the doctors and techs in a positive work environment.”

In Taylor’s free time, she enjoys hiking, riding horses, swimming, gardening, fishing, baking, crafting, and building bioactive enclosures. She has 3 Great Pyrenes, a Italian Mastiff, a mix breed pup, 8 Ball Pythons, a Jungle Carpet Python, and a crested Gecko. Taylor is a hobby snake breeder.

COURTNEY

Client Care Team Member

Courtney joined Eagle, September 2020, as part of the client care team. She is responsible for checking in and out clients, greeting you as you come into our practice, and answering the telephones. Courtney brings flexibility and compassion to our Tiffany location.

When asked to share what makes Eagle stand out from others she shares, “I love working at Eagle because it is a very professional yet family-based establishment. The staff was so welcoming and always makes sure I’m doing well.” Courtney loves meeting new people and watching the doctors and technicians care for the patients that come in.

In Courtney’s free time, she loves playing her guitar Malorie, watching rom-coms, and spending time with her family. She also enjoys doing her hair, make-up, and practicing skin care. Courtney has a Jack Russell mix named Nipsey and Mini Golden Doodle, Honey.

CLIENT CARE TEAM MEMBER 

Lindsay joined the Eagle team March 2022. She is a member of our client care team. Lindsay is here to greet you when you come in the door. She also answers phones, faxes, and emails records, and check out clients. Lindsay brings a positive energy to the front desk team.

“I love meeting new people and their pets. It’s my favorite part of my job!” Lindsay is a caring face you will see when you come in. She is empathic and understanding to difficult situations and makes our clients feel comfortable.

When asked why she enjoys working at Eagle she shares, “I enjoy the relationships I’ve made with my coworkers. We are a team here and it shows!”

Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family, cooking/baking with her son, reading, hiking, traveling, painting her nails, and doing DIY projects. She has two cats, Sophie the Domestic Longhair and Diego the Domestic Shorthair.

Randi-Receptionist Tiffany

Randi

CLIENT CARE TEAM MEMBER

We welcomed Randi to the Eagle team June 2022. Randi has over 15 years of experience in the veterinary field. She has worked as a kennel assistant, veterinary assistant, and receptionist. Randi is here to make appointments, check your pets in when you come in, put in medication requests, relay messages to techs and doctors, and help you get checked out when you are done with your visit.

“Seeing all the cute animals come in makes my day. I love making clients and their pets happy.” Randi always has a positive attitude when she comes to work.  She is happy to be here and loves interacting with our clients.

When asked how Eagle stands out from her previous experience she shares, “Eagle has an awesome reputation. They always try to do beyond their best to make clients happy. It’s very rewarding knowing I am a part of team!”

In Randi’s free time she enjoys working out. She has a chocolate Labrador named Hannah who she loves to spend time with!

Kennel ASSISTANT

Amanda joined our team May 2022. She came to us with 5 years’ experience in doggie daycare. Some of her responsibilities as an kennel assistant include, cleaning the suites, walking the dogs, giving them attention and love, giving baths, and keeping the hospital clean.  Amanda has always enjoyed working with animals and joined Eagle to help expand her experience.

“The best part of my job is being able to work with all the different dogs and all of my coworkers.”

At home, Amanda has a chocolate Lab named Duke, a Corgi named Freya, and a Bloodhound named MacGyver. She likes to play with them at home. Amanda enjoys exploring different parts of Kansas City, play pool, go horseback riding, bowl, play darts, bonfires, and try new places to eat.
